Flat Stanley

We had the chance to do a Flat Stanley project for our nephew's kindergarten class. It was fun to take pictures with Flat Stanley at some of our favorite places in Missoula.

Flat Stanley attending a concert of The Whizpops!, our favorite children's band in Missoula;   check our their music on iTunes or listen at http://www.thewhizpops.com/music/.

Flat Stanley riding the carousel.  J actually grabbed the golden ring during this ride; so, Flat Stanley won a "free ride." We love this carousel; it is so beautifully crafted and really fast.

Aunt Carol's Visit

Grandma and Aunt Carol came for a visit and we did fun and exciting things everyday! Here are a few pictures from when I remembered my camera. We miss you Grandma and Carol. S tells me everyday, "I go Burley. I play treehouse. I see Carol's cat." We can't wait to see you this summer.

Dancing fun.

Pinewood Derby

I am long overdue for some new posts:) Hopefully this week with the kids back in school I can play catch-up. First up J's first pinewood derby...
J and dad had a great time putting this car together!

J designed his car to be a Michigan car.

Such fist pumping celebration can only mean one thing--J won the whole thing.

(Maybe we will do better next year.)

And, now for something completely different...

This is the day after the big pinewood derby. Two kids with strep throat and a cancelled birthday party. They had fun together anyway making forts and playing the Wii.

Rolled Sushi

Makizushi is one thing that I can get my entire family to eat! Usually I have to make something different for at least one member of the crew. However, with this meal my kids have a fun time picking out what they want to put in their sushi rolls and in my opinion you can't go wrong with cucumbers and avocado :) Now I just have to learn to like seaweed (I usually roll mine in a lettuce leaf).
