Snow and Moving

We've had some fun snow lately. S loves being pulled around in the sled and J and his friend were having fun doing it one afternoon, I love it when they play together.

One of the difficult parts of living in Northwood is when your friends move away. We will miss you C and I!

Christmas sweater

I really enjoy seeing pictures of my boys at the same age side by side. I like seeing the similarities and differences in their looks since I get to experience the similarities and differences in their personalities daily. Here's a Christmas photo of both boys at 3 1/2.

Char's wedding

We recently returned from Idaho where we were able to attend my sister Char's beautiful wedding!
Char and her new husband Mike and all of my siblings! (Sorry, we are all looking at a different camera, but it's the best I have.)

Burley fun on the tramp. Josh had a blast swinging from the treehouse.

We had a great trip to Park City with Bri's family. Here are some pictures.

I was really excited when I got this cabinet free from a friend. The plan is to use the top for husbands stuff and the bottom for toys. So far the top is getting a lot of use, but the bottom has become the toy...

S has become interested in Js beanie babies. Grandma D would be happy!

Birthday!

Here's the Birthday Boy!

I don't know who has had more fun with this present, birthday boy or big brother!

Letter from J to Japan

We just got an email (with pictures!) from some of our friends in Japan. In Japan the school year begins in April. This is what J would like to tell his friends.

"Work hard in 1st grade so you can become really smart and learn all of the things you need to. Good Luck! I miss you and hope you can come visit me in America sometime."

Easter

Family picture at the easter egg hunt on Saturday morning in the center circle.

The easter buckets. This pictures was shot between mouthfuls of candy!

This was S first year to really get to hunt easter eggs. He wasn't sure about it at first, but of course loved the candy!
Our colored eggs.

Aunt Char came for a visit

We were excited to have Aunt Char come visit us for a few days. We were all sad when she had to go home.
My eyes are closed in this one, but it was the best of everyone else. It was really bright that day after a long MI winter.

"R" is for robot

J had to make a robot for a class project. This is what J and his dad came up with. It's a dog. They had a great time making it together! It even has a mouth that lights up when you push a button. It is now proudly displayed at school near the office.

New desk

Here are my before and after pictures. I love my new desk, especially how nicely it closes out the mess when I need it to.

Indoor water park

This winter vacation J had one week off of school. We headed to an indoor water park near our house. Everyone had a fantastic time swimming and staying in the hotel! Here are a couple of pictures.

Valentines day and 100 days

J's Kindergarten class is nearing 100 days of class. They will have a big celebration and math day on the 100th day of class. Each child has to complete a 100 days poster with 100 of some object glued onto the poster and bring in 100 of some kind of snack to share with the class that day. J chose to take blue and yellow (Michigan's colors) jelly beans for his snack to share. He wanted to do popcorn for his poster. I think he thought that he got to eat the popcorn too because he was a bit disappointed after the glue dried and they were stuck. Here is a picture of his 100 days poster.
For valentines day all of the kindergartners were supposed to wear red. I found J a black shirt with a red stripe down the sleeve and asked if it would be okay. He wanted to find something with more red. So we looked in the summer clothes. This is what he found. A shirt from Grandpa and Nicki from Hawaii. We just had about 10 inches of snow and a snow day recently, but that didn't stop J from wearing his shirt from Hawaii to school! He had fun exchanging valentines with his classmates for the first time.
