GIrls Day

Hinamatsuri or "Girls Day" was celebrated in Japan earlier this month. Elaborate doll displays are traditionally set up. J's school had a beautiful display. At first J wasn't interested in having his picture taken in front of it, but when he saw little brother and mom getting their picture taken he relented and let us take his picture. Not one of J's favorite Japanese holidays that we have had just because he is for some reason against "dolls." Hummm...boys.

J and some friends from school at the Jidokan in Shibuya. They are dressed in Kimono's they have there for the kids to dress up in.

The beautiful Plum blossoms blooming this time of year even though it is still quite cold.

Trains

This is definitely J's favorite part of Japan!

Takao-san

B and J had a great time hiking to the top of Takao-san. Here are a few pictures from the trip.

Mt. Fuji faintly visible in the background.

There once was a fight between a computer and a cell phone.

Which one wins you might be wondering...
In our case it was the cell phone.  Unfortunately.  Here's to hoping that Hubby can fix the LCD screen after the part(hopefully) arrives from the States.  And here's to keeping cute, adorable, very fast throwing babies away from the laptop.  That's it baby no allowance for you.  Ever.

Sledding in Tokyo

We don't have any snow. I am in fact hoping for my first winter ever without snow since I have a bicycle as my only form of transportation. Here's to sledding Tokyo style! Isn't this a fun park?
